Historic Districts of The Original City Association of Tuscaloosa

Tuscaloosa is a city rich in American history.

The site of the first real Capital of Alabama (from becoming a state to 1844). Home to the University of Alabama and the Chancellor of the University of Alabama System. A city where a number of important historical homes still exist. A city with a vibrant and expanding business community. A city about to continue its evolutionary process with extensive plans for downtown redevelopment and riverfront development.

The intent of the OCA of Tuscaloosa is to support the continuing growth and evolution of the city and its communities while preserving it unique assets in a compatible manner.

Below please find a link to a map of the downtown area showing the historic districts which the OCA serves.
